Enola Holmes 3 is an upcoming movie in a mystery film franchise directed by Harry Bradbeer from the screenplay of Jack Thorne. The franchise is based on the detective novel series written by American author Nancy Springer.
Out of nine books, two books have been covered in the two films and the remaining ones will be adapted in the upcoming parts of the film, if they are on the way.
The movies are produced by Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, Millie Bobby Brown, Robert Brown, and Alex Garcia under Legendary Pictures and PCMA Productions.
Will there be a 3rd Enola Holmes?
Netflix hasn’t officially issued an official renewal statement yet but the chances of happening a third Enola Holmes movie are pretty huge because the first two movies of the franchise have performed exceptionally well on Netflix. So, Enola Holmes 3 will only bring more positive news.
None of the previously released movies have disappointed fans and the official streaming network. First Enola Holmes became the biggest first-day opening for Netflix and still ranked among network’s overall highest viewed original movies.
The sequel become number 1 on Netflix’s global weekly viewership in 93 countries at the time of debut on 4 Nov 2022. Also, critics praised the performance of Brown that only pushed its popularity and the movie reached upto 76 Million households.
Moreover, Millie Brown has already shared her plans for a third movie. She said that she would love to be a part of another film and would love to see her doing more cases under pressure. She said, “I absolutely love seeing her back at work.”
But it seems that season 2 is not happening on any network in spite of becoming the most watched series on SHOWTIME.
When will Enola Holmes 3 be released?
Since Netflix hasn’t greenlit the film for a third part, it will be hard to predict anything. To do that, we need to suppose some things like the filming, production, and post production.
Let’s say, Netflix ordered a third Enola Holmes movie in the future, that will most likely happen in June 2023 because the network took almost seven months to reveal that a sequel is in progress.
Even though, director Harry and co-producer Brown acknowledged their intentions to develop a sequel right after the release of first movie in Sep 2020, the sequel took two complete years to land on our Netflix screens.
We are seeing the same thing with this part as Bobby Brown has again expressed her plans for a 3rd movie in a recent interview with SR. She has clearly said that she will love seeing her character solving more cases and coming out from crazy situations.
If everything goes according to plan then Enola Holmes 3 is expected to be released around December 2024 because the filming and post production will take time.
Who will be casting in the third part of Enola Holmes?
Millie Bobby Brown will definitely return for Enola Holmes 3 as the show is incomplete without her titular character and no fans would like to say good bye to their favorite character. Other than her character, her intelligent brother and the infamous Moriaty will also appear to reprise their respective roles.

What is the plot of Enola Holmes 3?
Since we haven’t seen a cameo of Dr. Watson in the sequel, his seat is confirmed for the threequel as the third book ‘The Case of the Bizarre Bouquets’ will be adapted for the 3rd movie and that introduces us to Dr. Watson.
Even though, Enola has started her own detective agency, she is still struggling to solve new criminal cases on her own and that’s why some new characters will act as a helping hand.
On the top of that, Moriarty has escaped from the prison and is freely moving in the streets of New England to create havoc all around the city. To solve new mysterious cases, Enola has to team up with her brother Sherlock and Dr Watson.
