The second season of Firefly Lane has just premiered on Netflix and now fans are excited to see a Firefly Lane Season 3 so that they can get the answer of questions that season 2 left unanswered.
But, is there any possibility of happening another season of Firefly Lane? Has Netflix announced any renewal yet or we will not be able to see any more seasons of our favorite drama series on Netflix?
The TV series is created by Maggie Friedman and is based on the novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah. One and a half seasons have been aired so far and a third season is cancelled.
Will there be a season 3 of Firefly Lane?
One thing is confirmed, there will be no season 3 of Firefly Lane because the 2nd season was announced as the last season of the series in Oct 2022 but that doesn’t mean there will be no more episodes.
Only nine out of sixteen episodes have aired on 2 Dec 2022 and the remaining seven episodes are set to premiere on 8 June 2023 on Netflix. Each episode will have a running time between 47-50 minutes.
The streaming giant made the announcement on 3 October that the second season will be the last one, consist of 16 episodes in total and, split into two parts. We have already seen the Part 1 on 2 Dec and a second part is planned to arrive on Netflix in 2023.
Firefly Lane Season 3 Release Date and Time
Firefly Lane season 3 will not happen as Netflix has cancelled the series after two seasons. It is because the creators of show have planned a proper ending that left no further questions in the mind of viewers.
Even though, the show is coming to an end, we can expect to see a reboot, reunion, or even a spinoff that will be based on Tully and Kate’s life. Enola Holmes 3 is another awaited film on Netflix that mysterious drama fans are waiting since the sequel premiere on 4 Nov.

Sarah has revealed various plot details by which we can speculate what’s gonna happen in the upcoming episodes. Season 2 part 1 answered to most of our questions from the season 1 but it has also resulted into various new questions that needs to be answered.
Does Kate forgive Tully? Are Kate and Johnny together? The first season was set in 1980s timeline where Kate and Johnny can be seen walking together but as we fast forward to present 2000s, their marital status remains divorced, the first part shows the factors that teared their relationship.
Moreover, Kate dumped her long time female friend Tully by saying that their friendship days are over. Fans are wondering if Tully had betrayed Kate, answer will be revealed in the 2nd part or Firefly Lane Season 3.
The finale is going to be emotional as Sarah has warned the fans by saying that “You need some” when asked by an Entertainment Weekly reporter about how many boxes of tissues we need for the season finale.
