Why is One Punch Man season 3 taking so long?
One Punch Man season 3 was confirmed at the original website of the anime on 18 August 2022 with a key visual drawn by character designer Chikashi Kubota, the visual features Saitama and Garou standing on the opposite side.
Even though, the anime series was announced to be in development nine months ago, we aren’t expecting it to arrive before 2024 as the production of animation takes time. See, there was a gap of around four years in between the release of two OPM seasons.
Season 1 was released in Oct 2015 while the second season took nearly four years to arrive on Crunchyroll in April 2019. Following the same way, we are expecting One Punch Man season 3 to be released around October 2023 with twelve new episodes.

Two seasons of One Punch Man have been released so far and both of them are streaming on Netflix, Hulu, and AdultSwim inside the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. In most countries, the anime series can be streamed via Crunchyroll subscription.

How much manga has been covered?
First season of One Punch Man covered the first seven volumes of the manga, while the second season covered volumes 8 through 16. The manga currently has 23 volumes in circulation, that means, there is plenty of material left for a third season to cover.

Saitama is still the mysterious character of the series and there is a lot to cover about him in the upcoming manga chapters. So, we are expecting to see a backstory of Saitama like how he gained such incredible strength and his hidden abilities.
