Reacher fans got excited after seeing the official announcement regarding the Reacher Season 2. The original studios has renewed the detective series for another season and also the filming has started.
Based on on the detective novel series of the same name written by British author Lee Child, the series follows the story of an ex military policeman named Jack Reacher who is on the mission to investigate a huge conspiracy with corrupt government officials.
The American crime drama series is developed by Nick Santora, produced by Amazon Studios, Paramount Television Studios, Skydance Television, and Blackjack Films for Amazon Prime Video.

Yes, there will be a season 2 of Reacher on Amazon Prime. The network officially announced the renewal of the series on 7 Feb, three days after season 1 released on the streaming platform.
The show’s lead actor Alan Ritchson posted an Instagram reel on 23 Sep 2022 that says, the official filming of Reacher season 2 has begun and this season will be longer than the first one. Also, Maria Stern is confirmed to reprise her role as Frances Neagley for the upcoming season.
When is The Reacher season 2 coming out?
No release date is yet announced by Amazon Studios but our main hero is sharing the details on his official Instagram where he is having more than 653k followers. We can see what’s happening behind the ropes along with the hilarious captions of the actor.
The actor has already revealed that the episodes count will be higher this time. Season 1 has a total of eight episodes with an average runtime between 42-54 minutes. This is going to rise in the sequel season. Most likely, there will be 12-14 episodes in total with hour long duration.
First season filming began on 15 April 2021 inside Ontario and wrapped up after four months on 31 July 2021. Season 2 started filming on 23 Sep 2021 inside the same Canadian province and is expected to wrap on 30 March 2023, according to IMDb.
After finishing the filming, the show will be pushed into post production like The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 5 whose shooting has been wrapped recently. If the shooting is completed within the given time then the Reacher season 2 will be released around October 2023 on Prime Video. Likewise, season 1, all episodes will be released on the same day.

Season 2 of The Reacher will be based on Bad Luck and Trouble. It is the eleventh book of the novel series by English author Lee Child that is about Reacher’s reunification with his old military police squad members including Frances while investigating the murder of one of his own.
If you have missed emotional drama in the season 1 then get ready to wipe off your tears now. Even though, the creator has said that the series will not be adapted chronologically, we can still expect the new season to show us the suffering side of Reacher.
