Fans were wondering that a Dead to Me Season 4 will come after the third season ended on a huge cliffhanger where Jen finds a note and bracelet left by Judy but it seems that Netflix has some other plans.
First season of the comedy drama series premiered in 2019, second in 2020, and the third season has been recently premiered in 2022.
Created by Liz Feldman, the series has received 59 nominations in total and also helped Liz in getting 2020 Television Episodic Comedy for pilot.
Will there be a season 4 of Dead to Me?
Unfortunately, there will be no Dead to Me season 4 because the series has been officially cancelled by Netflix after a third season.
Even though, the show ended with raising eyebrows, it seems that the creator is having no plans to continue the series because she has already given a planned ending that left fans amused.
Most of the Netflix originals last for a couple of seasons and only a few popular ones can make it after that like Money Heist, Stranger Things, Grace & Frankie, and Riverdale.

They are not making Dead to Me Season 4 as they already made it clear with the third season announcement in July 2020 that the third season of Dead to Me will be the final season of the series. This news was announced even before the release of finale season.
Christina Applegate, the executive producer took to twitter to share some final words for the show. She wrote: “I will miss these ladies. But we felt this was the best way to tie up the story of these women. Thank you to all the fans.”
The ending of show has left every fan crying but save your tears for the final season of Firefly Lane as it is going to be a tough ride of emotions between two childhood girlfriends whose relationship is going to suffer. Kate has abandoned her long time best friend Tully.
What is the future of Dead to Me?
Liz Feldman already knew that her show will last for two or three seasons because Netflix’s traditional season count in two and if their show receives a renewal after that then they consider themselves lucky. She had planned the ending in advance and wanted it to feel important.
Even if a Dead to Me Season 4 is not happening, Liz has signed a multi-year contract with Netflix. That means, we will be able to see more works of her on Netflix in the future. Who knows, we could see a spinoff to Dead to Me series as Liz’s new project.
Currently, the showrunner is working on a 30 minute dark comedy drama ‘No Good Deed’ under Gloria Sanchez Productions. The film sets in 1920s where three families are trying to buy a Spanish style villa that will solve all their problems but the family dreams will turn into nightmares.
