Is Dexter coming back for season 2 of New Blood?
There has been a rumor that Showtime is working on Dexter New Blood season 2 but in reality, the network’s co-president Gary Levine has clearly said that “It’s too soon to say anything and they are still basking in the glow of a a limited series.”
This comment came after nine months of season finale premiere. Before that, another co-president David Nevins hinted that they are busy working on the future of the Dexter franchise.
It can be a sequel, a prequel, or even a spinoff series but something should be announced in the near future like the season 2 of Class of 07′ on Prime Video.
When does Dexter New Blood Season 2 come out?
During the UBS Global’s media conference on 6 December 2022, Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish announced that Showtime will lean more into franchises in 2023.
The Paramount boss also revealed that Showtime is no longer capable to stand on its own within the company and that’s the reason why the network’s executive were reluctant to say anything when asked about their future plans for the series.
But worry not, considering the huge success of Dexter New Blood, the most watched TV show on SHOWTIME network, Paramount Global (Showtime’s parent organization) is planning to continue Dexter franchise. The official announcement news is just around the corner and more info will be available soon.

It will be a good story if Hall will return to reprise his role in the lead otherwise this is going to be awful. Taking some side character in the main role doesn’t seem to be a good idea because fans are here to see Morgan Dexter being alive waking down the true criminals.
