Hallmark Channel has begun the month of February with Sweeter Than Chocolate and A Paris Proposal is another sweet romance film that is set to release on 11 Feb in Loveuary 2023 programming event.
Fans are super excited to see the film as Alexa PenaVega is starring in the lead role of Anna in the film. This is one of the latest film that Alexa is bringing after signing a multi-picture overall deal with Hallmark Media in Oct 2022.
PenaVega has praised Hallmark and calls it as a second home because the network has given her opportunities to grow as actress. Nicholas Bishop is another Hallmark star who will be seen as the mistakenly understood partner of Anna in A Paris Proposal movie.
The film is directed by Jessica Harmon from the scripts of Andrea Canning, produced by Jeffrey Beach with Phillip J Roth, and executive produced by Cameron Johann under Hallmark Media.
Where was A Paris Proposal filmed?
A Paris Proposal was partially shot in Paris, France and also features several iconic locations of Sofia, Bulgaria. As per certain reports, the filming of the Hallmark movie began in Nov 2022 and lasted for three weeks.
Both the European countries are known for their beautiful picturesque locations they are located very far from each other. France is in Western Europe encompassing alpine villages and Mediterranean beaches while Bulgaria lies in Southeastern Europe as a Balkan nation encompassing Black Sea coastline.
Things become more interesting when the actual setting of a movie becomes its exact shooting location and the same is happening with this movie. When most Hallmark directors prefer to film in Canada, Jessica Harmon chose France over it.
Harmon also shared her emotions of directing during the photography in France. M Social Hotel Paris Opera was used for shooting some scenes. It is a grandiose hotel located at 12 Bd Haussmann, 75009 Paris.
Other shooting locations in France include the Seine river, Louvre Palace, Pont Des Arts Bridge, and Institut de France, a 200 years old French learned society that was established in 1795 at the direction of the National Convention.
Inside Bulgaria, the capital city of Sofia was used to film most of the scenes. Production team taped some scenes outside the Sofia International Airport and inside Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan. Sofia also served as an important filming location in The Wedding Veil Journey.

Nicholas Bishop as Sebastian
Bishop is lesser known French actor who can be recognized for his role in HBO’s Industry as Maxim, Pretty Red Dress, Becoming Elizabeth, and Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

What is the plot of A Paris Proposal?
Anna is an account manager working for a NYC advertising agency. She has the opportunity to land the biggest client of her industry Durand Diamonds but there’s a twist, she need to visit the city of light France to seal the crazy deal.
Her colleague Sebastian is accompanying on her journey. As the duo arrives, the high paying client misunderstood them as a couple. Now, Anna and Sebastian needs to keep up appearances of being a happy couple.
However, Paris holds some painful memories for Anna as she went for honeymoon after one year of marriage with her now ex husband. Will Anna be able to forget the past to start a real relationship with Sebastian? To know the climax, you need to watch the movie.
A Paris Proposal is set to premiere on 12 Feb at 2/1c, and 16 Feb at 8/7c only on Hallmark Channel.
