Murder Mystery 2 is Netflix’s latest crime comedy film directed by Jeremy Garelick and written by American screenwriter James Vanderbit.
The 2023 film is a direct sequel to the 2019’s Murder Mystery that follows a couple that goes for a vacation in Europe and embroiled in a murder investigation after falling for a Billionaire’s yacht party.
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston will be seen once again in the main roles of Nick and Audrey Spitz in the sequel, the film is produced by Sander’s Happy Madison Productions for Netflix.
Murder Mystery 2 Filming Locations
Murder Mystery 2 was filmed across various locations of France with Paris as the primary shooting location. Some scenes were also done in Hawaii.
Filming of the movie began in Jan 2022 and wrapped on 8 April 2022, Jennifer Aniston shared on her Instagram with the caption, “Merciiii Paris 🇫🇷 That’s a wrap.”
The cast and crew spent two months of filming in France, according to our local reporter. Even though, the filming began in Hawaii, most of the scenes were taped in the streets of Paris during summer of 2022.
Oahu, Hawaii
Lanikuhonua Lagoon is a scenic lagoon located on the western shore of Oahu Island, Hawaii. The movie’s opening scenes featuring Nick and Audrey vacationing on a luxury resort, is located on the tropical island of Oahu.
Where was Murder Mystery 2 filmed resort?
A luxurious resort of Hawaii was used to film the scenes in which Aniston and Sandler are seen hanging near the beach. It provides lt provides lush greenary and the stunning views of the ocean that make it a suitable backdrop for the film.
The beautiful Ko Olina resort is a 642 acre residential community located on the leeward coast of Oahu, 17 miles west of the capital city Honolulu. There are a lot of beach clubs, spas, and villas that have been used for filming purposes.
Kualoa Ranch is a private nature reserve of Oahu that was used to film some action scenes of the Murder Mystery 2 while the Halekulani Hotel was used as homestay.
The ranch has been featured in various blockbuster movies as Jurassic World (2015), Finding Ohama (2021), KAPO (2022), and Lost (2004 – 2010) TV series.
Paris, France
The Arc de Triomphe is a famous French monument located in Paris that was made to honor those who fought and died for France during the revolutionary war again Napoleonic wars.
It was used to film a car chase scene and this is the same place where the Spitzs are asked to pay the ransom in exchange of their buddy in The Murder Myster 2 movie.
Les Cailoux is a Parisian restarurant located at 50 Rue des Acacias and is known for its modern decor and French cuisine. The restaurant was featured as the place where millionaires come to attend a lavish dinner party.
Opéra Garnier is a historic opera house of Paris recognized for its ornate architecture and luxurious interior, this was used to shoot the gala event that the Spitzs have attended.
The Tuileries Garden is a large public park located in the center of Paris, adjacent to the Louvre Museum that was used to film the scenes in which Sander and Aniston are chased by the police in the Netflix movie.
Eiffel Tower is another iconic location that has been featured in the movie to shoot a dangerous stunt. As per reports, Nick and Audrey filmed a scene on the second level of tower.
The Palace of Versailies was used to shoot the scene where the Spitz couple visit the Hall of Mirrors palace while the Louvre Museum was used to shot the scenes through museum’s galleries.

Tony Goldwyn posted a photo on Instagram in April 2022 of himself and co-star Weaving posing in front of a green screen. In the caption, he wrote, “It’s a wrap on #Murder Mystery 2! Thanks to the brilliant cast and crew for an amazing experience.”
Jodie Turner-Smith posted a video on her Instagram Story in March 2022 of herself getting her hair and makeup done on set. She wrote, “Glam life.”
