Filming of The Dog Lover’s Guide to Dating movie began on 20 Aug 2022 and wrapped up on 2 Sep 2022 inside the easternmost province of Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador with most of the shooting taking place inside the capital city of NL.

Becky Dalton shared many behind the scenes photos on her Instagram that includes Corey Sevier, Eliza King, Pat Dempsey, and other crew members. Some well known places where the cast of the movie was spotted filming are Mount Pearl, Goulds, Quidi Vidi, and Bannerman Park.

St John’s is not only the capital but also the largest city of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is located on the eastern tip of Avalon Peninsula on the Newfoundland Island and was used for taping all the scenes of the Hallmark movie.

Generally, Hallmark filmmakers prefer filming in British Columbia, Alberta, or Ontario province so NL seems to be an exotic province but that doesn’t mean the place is not attractive. The province is known for its warm and welcoming nature and the place also has a reputation for being friendly.

The movie follows a cool woman Alex (Dalton) who is pro at training dogs and minds her own business with her four legged clients. She is still single because of her major trust issues that doesn’t allow her to getting close with someone.

Simon (Corey Sevier) seems to be the exact opposite, he is good with people but not dogs. However, the man seems to have discovered the love of his life in the form of Chloe (Eliza King) but she is a die hard animal lover who doesn’t like the guys that can’t handle dogs.

Now, Simon needs the help of a pet trainer to impress her favorite woman and Alex seems to be the perfect dog trainer who can easily help her in winning the heart of Chloe but Alex doesn’t think that her instructions will help Simon.

But Simon somehow convince her to help and offer his help in return so that she can collect the money to secure a local animal shelter that is about to demolish. As the two are working together under a single roof, will their heart unite?
